Música for orphans en Oaxaca, México
En octubre del 2009, Mister Felipe and his groovy esposa, Brooke, got to go to Oaxaca, México, to play música para los niños who live in an orphanage called "Hijos de la Luna". It was a rare oportunidad para los niños to hear live music, and ¡they were super animados! They started singing "La Bamba" before Felipe could even sit down! And they loved getting a chance de tocar la guitarra.
Taos Plaza Live
Mister Felipe and friends rock out Taos Plaza
Felipe y sus amigos got las familias dancing on Taos Plaza el 6 de agosto del 2009. He was joined by John Huxsol on drums, Colin Jenkinson tocando el bajo, Jeremy Jones en el saxófono y Brooke Zanetell en voz. It was a delightful evening of música, sponsored by the Taos Association of Music Professionals (TaosAMP) and Open Hearth Arts ( OpenHearth). Gracias a todas las familias who showed up to dance!
Students at Taos Elementary School love it!
Mister Felipe had the pleasure of entertaining over 150 estudiantes del programa Dual Language de Taos Elementary School el 6 de mayo del 2009, as part of the school's Spirit Week. Since the kids were bilingual, they really got the lyrics! They laughed along with ¡Fuera, Perro!, made sonidos de animales with Me Gustan los Animales, and danced to Muévete. Everyone left feeling great, including Mister Felipe!
